I was out for an early morning walk after the fajr prayers here in Egypt. Al-hamdulillah Egypt is not participating in daylight savings time so being outside at 5:30 in the morning might look strange to others (the majority of which are sleeping!), but hey! A girl's gotta snag some exercise in somehow, and after 8:00AM it is just too darn hot already! And by evening, it's not until after midnight before the temperature falls enough to make it comfortable for being outside and then it's DARK! So, with a resolve to not let these hips run away with me any further than they already have, I charted a course and headed out!
With my trusty camera phone I sought out a Kodak moment to share with everyone today and this is what I came home with. Enjoy!
As it happened, when I arrived back to my flat, the boys working the coffee shop downstairs were decorating! Insha'Allah this evening I will take a photo from street level to show all the lighting they were hanging. :-)
